Eras Senior Network is a community-centered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization

Serving Milwaukee County and Waukesha County, Wisconsin

Eras Senior Network is a nonprofit organization that is dedicated to our mission of empowering seniors and engaging generations. Our programs reduce isolation for seniors and mobilize volunteers to make important contributions to community needs. The agency is the result of a successful 2007 merger between the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) of Waukesha County, which started in Waukesha County in 1977, and Interfaith Caregiving Network, incorporated in 1991. In 2019, Eras also assumed operations of Milwaukee County's Neighborhood Outreach Program. Learn more about our history. View our most recent Annual Report.

Seniors and adults with disabilities are supported by volunteers of all ages to help them maintain their independence through our supportive services. Transportation is the most requested service and the program coordinates over 18,000 rides to medical appointments, the grocery store, and food pantries each year. Clients in Milwaukee County are residents aged 60 and over. Clients in Waukesha County are residents aged 60 and over or age 18 and over with a disability. Learn more about our services.

RSVP volunteers respond to critical needs in Milwaukee County and Waukesha County including education, transportation, nutrition, healthcare, and social isolation. RSVP is part of a national movement of senior volunteer service programs called AmeriCorps Seniors. Learn more about our RSVP Program.

The Meaning Behind the Eras' Oak Tree

The oak tree symbolizes our mission of empowering seniors and engaging generations. Renowned for its robust and enduring nature, the oak tree embodies resilience, mirroring the strength and endurance of the individuals we serve and their families.

With deep roots providing stability and support, the oak tree becomes a metaphor for Eras' commitment to establishing strong connections and support systems for the aging community, ensuring they can age in place comfortably.

The cyclical nature of an oak tree's growth, changing with the seasons, becomes a powerful metaphor for the different eras of life. Eras Senior Network aims to support seniors, adults with disabilities, and family caregivers through these various eras, adapting and evolving to meet their changing needs.
