Do you want to help older adults in Milwaukee County enroll in vital Medicare benefits? This incredible opportunity targets community members who are approaching eligibility age and may need guidance navigating the process. Training provided!
We are looking for short-term or long-term volunteers to help support older adults and their families through the Medicare enrollment process. Sufficient training and readily available support will be provided to all volunteers who join us.
What you will do:
- Deliver community presentations on Medicare
- Distribute MIPPA-related materials throughout the community
- Represent the agency at booths in community events
- Various office tasks
- Attend trainings (virtual during COVID)
Who we are looking for:
- Comfortable with public speaking
- Active involvement in community groups, associations, events, etc
- Comfortable using Zoom or similar tools
- Sensitivity in working with vulnerable populations
- Ability to get along with others
- Organizational skills
- Confidence using the computer and the internet
- Someone who can commit to giving 40 hours to this role over the course of their time volunteering
