Student Reading or Math Assistance

Share your joy of learning by working with students as a reading or math tutor. Volunteers are typically scheduled for one day a week for about 30 minutes to an hour, working with students one on one or in small groups. Programs are held in the School Districts of Waukesha, Menomonee Falls and Pewaukee and serve students Kindergarten through 12th grade.

“It makes my life fuller to do volunteer work – it’s so fulfilling to see the progress the students make.” – Luanne

“It’s a benefit to the volunteer and the children.” – Gloria

“Thank you for connecting us with the volunteers.  The impact they have had on our learners will be lifelong!” –Trish, teacher at Banting Elementary

“Volunteers give children the extra one on one time that the teacher doesn’t always have time to give.  Children realize that another adult is concerned about their success and special relationships are formed.” –Riverside Teacher

Recommended for volunteers 55 and older
